European Commission and EU Member States to Safeguard Migrants' Family Life

On the International Day of Families, the Red Cross / EU Office, calls on the European Commission and European Union Member States to guarantee the effective right to family life for all migrants entitled to family reunification, and to beneficiaries of international protection.


Not Crossing Red Lines - Minimum Detention Safeguards for Asylum-Seekers

This week, the forthcoming trialogue negotiations might decide on the review of the EU legislation on the reception of asylum-seekers. 166 organisations are calling the European Union for minimum detention safeguards when dealing with administrative detention for asylum-seekers. The Red Cross / EU Office and eleven National Red Cross Societies are suporting this call.
