DG ECHO participation in the 90th Anniversary of the IFRC

Mr Zangl was invited to intervene in the panel discussion which addressed issues such as the current financial crisis and the impact of climate change on humanitarian crises. In the margin of this event, Mr Zangl met with Mr Geleta, Secretary General, Ms Asyan, USG Disaster Response and Early Recovery, Ms Nordby, USG Humanitarian Diplomacy and Mr Schmale, USG Development. They addressed the relationship between the two organisations, the new structure of the Federation Secretariat including the ongoing 2020 process and the role of the DREF.
