An Introduction to the Council of the European Union

The Council of the European Union (EU) is, along with the European Commission and the European Parliament, one of the European Unions policy-making institutions. No important policy action or legislative decision in the Union can be taken without the Councils agreement. It is the European Unions primary decision-making body.
